CWD was detected in Edgecombe County for the first time during the 2025-26 sampling season. At this forum, staff will present information about what CWD is, the agency's response, the new CWD specific regulations that will impact the 2026-27 hunting season and resources available for hunters in that area. There will be ample time to ask any questions of staff as well.
