The N.C. Wildlife Resources Commission (NCWRC) is seeking public comments on its Yellow Lampmussel Conservation Plan through March 8, 2026.
NCWRC developed this conservation plan to direct management activities for the Yellow Lampmussel, Lampsilis cariosa, known in North Carolina from the Chowan, Roanoke, Tar, Neuse, Cape Fear, Yadkin-Pee Dee, and Lumber River basins.
