The N.C. Wildlife Resources Commission (NCWRC) is seeking public comments on its Peregrine Falcon Conservation Plan through November 12, 2026.
This breeding population is state-listed as endangered, and the conservation plan will guide the agency’s efforts to maintain the peregrine falcon in North Carolina. It presents biological information, factors contributing to nest failure, conservation goals and potential conservation actions for the breeding population of the peregrine falcon.
After collecting and considering all public comments, NCWRC staff will present the draft plan to agency Commissioners for approval during their December 10, 2026, business meeting. Once the plan is approved, NCWRC and its partners will use it as a blueprint for conservation of this population.
View the plan and submit comments online.
