Pitt County No-Wake Zone Rule Changes and Public Comments
Proposed Permanent Rule Change
15A NCAC 10F .0354 Pitt County
Reason for Proposed Action:
The proposed amendments correct the name of the Grifton Boating Access Area on Contentnea Creek and add the Masons Landing Boating Access Area no-wake zone on Tranters Creek to the Pitt County rule. Currently the Masons Landing Boating Access Area no-wake zone is only listed in 10F .0303 Beaufort County; however, the no-wake zone crosses the county line and is in both Beaufort and Pitt Counties. The correction closes a potential loophole when it comes to enforcing the no-wake zone.
