Proposed Temporary Rule Changes and Public Comments for Seatrout
15A NCAC 10C .0325 Seatrout
Reason for Proposed Action:
The NCDMF issued a proclamation closing recreational and commercial harvest for Spotted Seatrout in joint and coastal fishing waters due to a cold stun event. The proposed amendment to 15A NCAC 10C .0325 will close Spotted Seatrout harvest through June 30, 2026, in waters within the North Carolina Resources Commission's (NCWRC) jurisdiction (Inland Fishing Waters and Joint Fishing Waters by hook-and-line) to be consistent with the N.C. Division of Marine Fisheries (NCDMF) closure and to alleviate angler confusion.
