15A NCAC 10H .1801 General Requirements and Fees
Reason for Proposed Action:
The proposed amendments increase fees for all licenses, permits, stamps, and certifications the Wildlife Resources Commission issues and administers, by the total increase in the Consumer Price Index for All Urban Consumers (3.4%) since the last fee increase, rounded up to the next whole dollar. The proposed fee increase will help the agency address funding issues related to increased operating costs exacerbated by inflation, increased demand for agency services, legislative salary increases, and stagnant state appropriations. Additionally, amendments require commercial use permit holders to remit quarterly, rather than every other month, and to submit a certificate of insurance as part of their application.
